This is an exciting time for us here at the "cheese dome". As Thanksgiving approaches we will celebrate our 16th anniversary. As you well know, the food business has more than it's share of challenges, so as another anniversary rolls by, it gives us pause. Several things become apparent. First, we are stronger and at the same time more humbled than ever before. We have never had more resources or opportunities than right now. We are on the WEB and on the phone more than ever before. Yet, in the end it all boils down to one simple fact. Without each one of you out there in food land, our loyal customers, we would not be where we are today. We may not always make you happy but we try very hard not to make you mad! Many things in this business are out of our control but we try not to let our attitude be one of those things.
We are truly thankful for your support this year and we do count our blessings as Thanksgiving approaches. If something we have done displeases you, please, by all means, TELL US! We take this relationship we have with you very seriously. I hope we never screw it up. We'd like to be around another 16 years!

In the days of the mega mergers and take overs, we at CCSFC are happy to announce the acquisition of Frazier's Flavors (see article this page.) We are excited about maintaining the high quality standards that were established years ago. We are also excited about being in the manufacturing side of the business. We intend to use the highest quality natural ingredients and continue to provide the quality that our customers always expect.

Way back in 1937, C.L (Luke) Frazier started making flavors for the Big Boy Bottling Co. in Winston-Salem, NC. They specialized in soft drinks. During WW II Coca-Cola came on strong with the Gl's and their k-rations. After the war, with the Gl's returning, demand for Coke shot up in popularity nationwide. Everybody wanted Coke and by 1948, Big Boy Bottling, like many small local bottlers, went bottoms up. But Luke Frazier persisted. He headed to his garage and started his famous extract business. He made extracts for local groceries, bakeries and even had his own line of sodas. Word spread about Frazier's products. The soft drinks were very popular and his vanilla was used by many community shops in the Southeast. Unfortunately, C.L. died in 1963 and the family business was passed around and finally faded in the 1980's.
Ron Frazier thought a lot about his grandpa's business when he was growing up. He even helped out when he was a teenager. In 1996 Ron started the business again. He had the original recipes and formulas that Luke made and even found a lot of the original equipment used in the process. The outstanding products that prospered since then have been the Vanilla Extract as well as the Almond, Lemon and Orange Extract. These original formulations use the highest quality ingredients in just the right amounts that C.L Frazier used over 50 years ago ... with no artificial ingredients and all natural products.
Cornucopia started carrying the Frazier line in 1997. It was extremely popular with our customers and competed quite favorably with other flavorings and at cheaper prices. Last summer the junior Frazier was offered another job and was forced to close the budding extract business, Cornucopia Cheese and Specialty Foods began talks about acquiring the line and agreed to purchase the Frazier product line with the assistance of Ron Frazier. This fall we completed a brand new kitchen facility with state of the art equipment on our premises. We are now the direct manufacture of the delightful Frazier's extracts. Our goal is to uphold the tradition that Luke Frazier started more than 50 years ago. Please ask for a free sample.
