GIVING THANKS!
We're especially thankful this time of year. On Turkey Day, November 23rd, we celebrate our 18th anniversary. We are extremely grateful for the support that you, our loyal customers, have given us. One of the greatest gifts of this business is the friendships that we have formed with our customers over the years. We are very fortunate that this business requires the same qualities of trust and commitment as any good friendship requires. As I have often reported here, we are all in this boat together and we both have to do our part to make sure the boat stays afloat! Thanks for doing your part. We promise to try even harder on our end.
In the meantime, please accept our sincere thanks for your business this year. Check out our Anniversary Specials on the next page. It's another way of saying thanks. We look forward to serving you for another 18 fantastic years.

Take This Lying Down????
Did you see this article in US Today entitled Restaurant takes relaxing to new levels? "Is savoring a steak between the sheets with strangers chic? Some people think so. It is all the rage at Miami's B. E. D. restaurant and Amsterdam's Supper Club, where waiting lists have been as long as two months to dine in bed. When you first think about eating lying down, you think it might be uncomfortable, but it is exactly the opposite," says Brian Elias, 38, a Miami lawyer. "From the minute I got to the place, I loved it. It is really a refreshing idea."

B. E. D. serves Mediterranean style three-course meals and the meals with drinks average about $100.00.
Guest lounge on platform-style mattresses arranged against the wall at different heights, separated by a low partition to allow conversation with neighbors. Beds range from 8 feet by 8 feet to 60 by 10 ft.
Since opening in December, B. E. D. has been packed every night, despite an intentional lack of advertisement -- the restaurant is not listed in the phone book, nor does a sign announce its presence on Miami's trendy South Beach!!!

Oh, Good Grief!
I guess this gives new meaning to the saying: "don't take this lying down!" The mind goes wild with all sorts of possibilities for great theme restaurants.
How about a new BED restaurant for politicians? I am sure that would have been a big hit in the White House! Maybe a restaurant just for movie and rock stars, we all know you have to get in bed with the producers to get ahead.
Here at Cornucopia we're thinking about installing beds instead of desks but with my messy desk I would never find my bed!
Oh, I forgot to mention, at the B. E. D., soups are banished from the menu! ummm … How about whipped cream?
Where ever and how ever you eat this holiday season, we hope you're happy and smiling!
Cheers.
