What's Up with Olive Oil Prices?

The EU has stripped their oil subsidy from olive oil, thus putting pressure on prices.

Italy had a very poor crop this year and Spain's olive harvest will be around 30 per cent lower than one year ago.

You can look for prices to rise and then remain stable. There does not appear to be a shortage this year since the 1998/1999 crop, although less than the year before, is still the third largest of the century!

Who do you think is the world's largest olive producer? Italy. Greece or Spain?? The answer will appear in your next news letter! (Don't you just hate that!)
